The Topic for the past week and a half has been GODS AND IDOLS. This week got away from me, so I'll post all of the Bible verses for this lesson in one post. When we receive our new study guides, I'll try to keep up with daily posts.
Day 1
Exodus 20:2-3 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.
Day 2
Exodus 20:4 You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
Day 3
Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me
Day 4
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Day 5
1 John 5:21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
Day 6
Isaiah 44:6 This is what the Lord says - Israel's King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.
Day 7
Exodus 20:2-4 I am the Lord you God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
